GOLDMAN SACHS 10,000 SMALL BUSINESS SCHOLAR RECOGNIZED AS A TOP FIFTY TO FOLLOW COMPANY
BELLEFONTE, PA – Actuated Medical, Inc. was named as one of the top Fifty Women-Owned Businesses to Follow by Pennsylvania Business Central. The goal of this list was to represent corporations and organizations of varying sizes, throughout Central Pennsylvania. According to the National Women’s Business Council, there has been a 26.8 percent increase in women-owned businesses since 2007 and this lists provides evidence that some of that growth is occurring in Central Pennsylvania.
In addition to being named to the Fifty-to-Follow list, Actuated Medical, Inc. President and CEO, Maureen L. Mulvihill, Ph.D. also graduated from the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program. She was one of 146 entrepreneurs that graduated from the 11-week program. The goal of the program is to provide entrepreneurs with the knowledge and resources to create jobs and economic growth. According to a report distributed by Babson College, graduates of the Goldman Sachs Program “consistently grow their revenues and create jobs at rates that outperform the broader economy.”
“The Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program has given me the opportunity to step away from the business and plan our next stage of growth”, said Mulvihill. “During the intensive program our cohort advanced our leadership skills in the areas of finance, marketing, negotiations and HR. I look forward to using these skills to continue to grow Actuated Medical in Central Pennsylvania.”
